December 21, 2002: New KOrganizer version released with KDE 3.0.5a

On December 21st 2002, the KDE Project released KDE 3.0.5a, an update for KDE 3.0 with security and minor bugfixes. Read more in the announcement and on the KDE 3.0.5a info page.

November 4, 2002: New KOrganizer workshop arrives

KOrganizer workshop #3 has been released! As part of the upcoming KOrganizer 3.1 in KDE 3.1, a new plugin for connections to Microsoft Exchange 2000® server has been released (you may already test it with the current Release Candidates of KDE 3.1). October 26, 2002: Another KOrganizer workshop

KOrganizer workshop #2 has been released! Have you ever wondered how to export your appointments from Microsoft Outlook® and re-import them to KDE's KOrganizer? Randy Pearson wrote a little tool called Outlook2VCal that exports your data to a well-formatted vCalendar-file in order to import your appointments to KOrganizer. Learn how to use Outlook2VCal in the KOrganizer workshop series.

August 19, 2002: KOrganizer 3.0.3 released

The KDE team today announced the immediate availability of KDE 3.0.3, which includes KOrganizer 3.0.3. The new version contains some important bug fixes, especially covering a SSL security issue and some further enhancements concerning the stability of KDE. June 18, 2002: First stable release of KOrganizer/Embedded

We are proud to present the first stable release of the embedded version of KDE's famous calendar and scheduling tool: KOrganizer/Embedded. KOrganizer/Embedded is the PDA version of KOrganizer for the Qtopia desktop. It has been developed for and tested on a Sharp Zaurus but it should also work on other PDAs able to run Qt/Embedded. June 5, 2002: Workshop series starts

As already announced earlier this year, the KOrganizer team started a workshop series covering an overview over KOrganizer, the KOrganizer setup, KOrganizer group scheduling and more. The first issue is about KOrganizer's brand new feature: group scheduling with KOrganizer. Thanks a lot to Günter Schwann who contributed this workshop. The workshop can directly be opened in your browser window but is also available as tar-ball for download. At the moment, the KOrganizer group scheduling workshop is available in English only, but we are already working on a German translation for it. Other translations are very welcome !

May 23, 2002: KOrganizer 3.0.1 out

Following the latest major release of the KDE with a very stable KDE 3.0, the KDE team today announced the immediate availability of KDE 3.0.1 which includes KOrganizer 3.0.1. The new version contains some important bug fixes. Detailed changes from KDE 3.0 to KDE 3.0.1 can be found in the Changelog. Read the official announcement at www.kde.org.

April 3, 2002: KOrganizer 3.0 arrives

We are proud to announce the release of KOrganizer 3.0, distributed with the brand new release of the award winning Desktop Environment KDE 3.0.

March 10, 2002: Qtopia Worldwide Developer Contest

Many applications of different categories entered the Qtopia Worldwide Developer Contest, arranged by Trolltech. The aim of this contest was to write a (Qt-based) embedded application for Sharp's hot new "personal mobile tool", the Sharp Zaurus SL-5000D, in one of the given categories (Games, Entertainment / Educational / EBook Reader, Business / Productivity applications, Utilities / System Tools, Communication / Messaging).

Feb 20, 2002: Aethera PIM Client uses KOrganizer

The latest beta version of theKompany's messaging/PIM client for Linux and KDE, Aethera, has been released. KOrganizer has now been embedded in Aethera as tool for calendar and scheduling functions. Feb 04, 2002: People behind KDE: Cornelius Schumacher

News taken from dot.kde.org: Tink's weekly report from the steady journey through our fellowship features today the author of Kandy and the present maintainer of the highly praised KOrganizer . We thus name Cornelius Schumacher. He also co-authored a nice new developer tool named KBugBuster and is a trusted member of the KDE-PIM team. We get now the chance to learn more about him and his passions. Thank you, Cornelius. And thank you, Tink, for another interesting interview.

Feb 01, 2002: Application of the month: KOrganizer

KOrganizer, the calendar and scheduling program for KDE, is the application of the month in february 2002 on the german KDE webpage, KDE.de.
